Graduation Show 9
"Graduation Show" is the most important event for School of Form students, crowning four years of study. It is more than a presentation of graduation projects; it is a story about the tremendous effort, commitment and passion that School of Form students put into the creative process. The opening of the exhibition took place on November 24, 2024 at the Pawilon Bliska 12 in Warsaw. For many debuting designers, this was the first opportunity to present their work to a wider audience.

A Story of Design and Sensitivity
Graduation projects always provide a powerful response to contemporary issues. They highlight what matters most at a given moment and reflect the interests, concerns, fears, and joys of a generation. Some serve as simple commentary, while others express dissent or seek to address specific problems. These projects often explore issues such as environmental degradation, ecosystem protection, conscious and responsible use of materials. They also explore language, visualize emotions, and convey the discomfort caused by information overload. This year's graduation projects also address issues of gender fluidity, challenging established stereotypes of femininity and masculinity. Through their work, the emerging designers seek universal sign systems and effective methods of communication. They do not shy away from difficult subjects, such as diseases, disorders or traumas related to the war in Ukraine and the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border. With equal passion and insight, they investigate everyday phenomena such as boredom and laziness.

Design as a Manifesto
Young people have a heightened awareness of the world around them, perceiving and experiencing its nuances with acute sensitivity. Their journey at the School of Form spans only four years, yet within this timeframe, they have faced the challenges of a global pandemic and limited access to essential resources and university facilities. Despite these hurdles, the projects they present demonstrate their exceptional abilities. This year's exhibition is notable for the variety of media, materials, craft techniques, and advanced tools used to create the exhibited projects. What often goes unnoticed is the foundation beneath the surface of each project: the research conducted, the insightful interviews conducted, the reams of literature read, the experiments conducted, and most importantly, the accumulation of personal experience. The skillful transformation of these elements into powerful projects reflects the maturity of young designers and their receptivity to the world around them.
