Computer Lab
This is where you will hone your design skills and develop your ideas. You will use up-to-date computers and top professional software to create graphic designs, edit photos and videos, build 3D models, and prepare your portfolio.
Equipment
What can you use here?
The Computer Lab has two rooms—one with Apple computers and one with PCs. Every computer has access to Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
You will use Figma for prototyping and digital product design, as well as 3D programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, and 3ds Max. The lab also provides graphic tablets and scanners. You are welcome to use the space even outside class time.
Learning Opportunities
What can you learn here?
You will learn to use software for graphic design as well as photo and video editing. Beyond creative work, you will prepare technical documentation and learn to set up files for various types of printing. You will also create 3D models that you can later produce in other workshops using digital tools like CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
