Tuber et labora

For reasons unknown, potato pancakes have always been served flat. It's time to change that.

Introducing Tuber et labora—although technically a plate, it is a thoughtfully designed three-dimensional serving dish that resembles a tuber and is crafted specifically for potato pancakes.

Creating this object was no easy fit, as it features numerous curves, negative spaces, and the recessed area designed to hold the pancakes securely.

The designer encourages diners to explore a fresh way of enjoying their meal by setting aside their cutlery and savoring the dish directly from this unique serving vessel.

The objects were designed by Anatol Grewiński, a student of Product Design.

They were created as part of the "Tuber" (Bulwa) project, a collaborative initiative involving the School of Form, BioBazar, and Norblin Factory.
