Stilts

Student Project
Stilts (Szczudła)
This project is inspired by the concept of levitation, exploring how a simple potato can become a remarkable work of art.
The repeated shapes in the design are influenced by the intricate cuts of Hasselback potatoes. For this dish, the potato is thinly sliced, but its base remains intact. When placed on Stilts, the potato is flipped upside down, with its base now on top. The porcelain tiles taper at one end, allowing the potato to hover above the plate—challenging our usual dining expectations. These ceramic stilts offer a fresh perspective from every angle, highlighting both the potato's beauty and the precision of its slicing.
