Diploma project
Retro Minimalism
“Retro Minimalism” critically examines how contemporary design often reduces minimalism to a purely visual style. The author argues that this narrow and mistaken interpretation undermines both the functionality and aesthetics of the products.
In response, he returns to minimalism’s original aim: to create better, more accessible, and more usable products for a wider public. The outcome is a computer keyboard with a detachable control panel, designed to offer a comfortable, efficient, and enjoyable typing experience for frequent users. The fully functional prototype was produced using 3D printing technology.
