Outsiders in the Contemporary Pop Culture and Their Communication With the Outside World

A collection of five textile patterns exploring how outsiders perceive, communicate, and express themselves.

The project tells the story of both the nature of the outsider and the design process. Heavy, stiff denim evokes paper blanks used in garment construction, while symbols inspired by traffic signs and intuitive sketches reflect the outsider’s unique traits. The patterns, applied using flex film and fabric paints, together with clever sewing and finishing techniques, bring a controlled chaos to the design, full of hidden meanings.

The collection is both a commentary on misunderstanding and imitation, and a playful experiment with form.

Graduation 10

The release of our new catalog of student graduation projects is always a special occasion. On one hand, it serves as a farewell to this year's graduates and honors their hard work by showcasing their final projects. On the other hand, it is a summary of the most significant and intriguing projects we have worked on with students throughout the past year.
