Kopytka by the Meter (Kopytka na metry)

This object was thoughtfully designed to serve kopytka, which are Polish potato dumplings similar in shape to Italian gnocchi. The main inspiration was to rethink the way this dish is traditionally offered in Polish restaurants, shifting from the usual "per piece" model to a more unconventional "by the meter" method. Here, the length of the dish determines the serving size.

In addition, this design encourages a new way to savor kopytka. Its slender, elongated shape allows diners to lift the dish to their mouths and slide individual dumplings directly onto their tongues. While this method is often deemed improper in restaurants, it is reimagined here as the preferred way to enjoy the dish. Ultimately, this object serves as a practical tool for consuming one of Poland's most beloved culinary delights.

It was created as part of the "Tuber" (Bulwa) project, a collaborative initiative involving the School of Form, BioBazar, and Norblin Factory.
