Guillotine

This plate is designed for serving pyry z gzikiem (potatoes with quark cheese) and draws inspiration from geometric forms and the cosmos, reflecting the aesthetics of constructivism.

The porcelain dish serves as both a display and an artistic interpretation of shapes and symbols in a contemporary setting. Its design resembles a blade, symbolically piercing through the potato. The monumental nature of the design emphasizes the significance of the potato as a staple in regional culinary traditions. This object seamlessly blends functionality with artistic expression.

Project Author

The object was designed by Anton Kostromtsov, a student of Product Design.

It was created as part of the "Tuber" (Bulwa) project, a collaborative initiative involving the School of Form, BioBazar, and Norblin Factory.
