Paweł Kowalski holds a doctoral degree in law (2013). He specializes in European Union law, medical law, international law, and new technology law. His research interests include cooperation between Poland and the European Union, protection of human rights, in particular migration issues, as well as medical ethics and responsibility for medical errors. Since 2014, Dr. Kowalski has been a practicing attorney at law, which helps him to bring practical aspects of the legal profession into his academic teaching. In 2020, he became a member of the Committee for International Law at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers (OIRP) in Warsaw. This allows him to get directly involved in the development and promotion of international law.
As a former Director for International Relations at SWPS University, Dr. Kowalski established cooperation with several partner universities in China, Indonesia, Jordan, Ukraine, and the United States. As an academic teacher, he has been teaching numerous courses at SWPS University and in programs offered under the auspices of the Erasmus program. Dr. Kowalski is also a government-certified Master of Didactics and is involved in the development of new teaching methods. As an academic teacher of law, he uses the latest technologies in his classroom, such as chat GPT-4. His innovative approach to education, which combines traditional methods with innovative technologies, makes him one of the leading legal specialists in Poland.
He published extensively on medical law, human rights law, and European Union law. In his publications he often refers to the GPT-4 technology, highlighting its potential in legal contexts.
At SWPS University, he teaches classes in EU law, medical law, and academic skills for law students. He is known for a practical approach to teaching that combines theory with practice, which helps students to achieve both, academic and professional, success.
