Graduation projects

From the workshop to the exhibition

Four years of intense study, hundreds of hours spent in workshops and studios, and countless experiments with materials, techniques, and forms—this is the everyday life of design students. Graduation Show is the culmination of that effort: a unique exhibition that presents not only their final projects but also their distinctive perspectives on the world.

More than a display of diploma work, Graduation Show tells a story—how emerging designers see the world around them and how they hope to change it. For many, it is the first opportunity to present their work to a broad audience and confront the reality of the design industry.

Designs that change reality

Students develop their projects under the guidance of experienced faculty—designers, artists, and craftsmen. This creative dialogue allows tradition to meet innovation, and theory to merge with practice.

Designing a diploma project requires more than technical skills. It demands the courage to question established norms. These young designers ask vital questions about the state of the modern world, social needs, and environmental concerns. To answer them, they must first understand the context—research existing reality, identify user needs, and explore overlooked areas. Design becomes both a way to diagnose the present and a tool to shape the future.

New voices in design

This year’s Graduation Show features the work of around 80 emerging designers. The exhibition is a testament to their creativity, passion, and persistence—qualities that help them push the boundaries of traditional design. Each project tells its own story and often addresses real-world challenges. Together, they form a collective portrait of a new generation that sees design as a socially engaged and responsible practice.

This year’s diploma projects explore themes such as:

  • sustainable design
  • care for the environment
  • new technologies
  • the relationship between technology and craftsmanship
  • craftsmanship
  • universal and inclusive design
  • the senses
  • creativity, imagination, and play
  • comfort
  • reflections on home, travel, identity (including design identity), and the passage of time
  • the DIY (do-it-yourself) approach

Graduation Show is not just a celebration of young design. It is also a glimpse into the future—one filled with bold ideas, innovative solutions, and projects that go beyond the conventional frameworks. Because even if it seems that everything has already been designed, these young creatives prove that there is always a new way—and a good reason—to do things differently.
