Suck

Ssij
This series of ceramic pieces is designed for scooping up kisiel—a jelly-like dessert made from fruit juice thickened with potato starch—and enjoying it through sucking, licking, slurping, and savoring. The design invites an uninhibited sensory experience, turning eating into an act of desire. With its crevices and recesses, the form encourages a prolonged, almost meditative act of consumption. It challenges conventional dining habits, inspires new ways to celebrate food, and explores feelings of desire that extend beyond just the realm of sexuality.
