(re)Gained Furniture
This project focuses on reviving old, discarded furniture and developing a personal language of repair. Using the iconic plastic Monobloc chair as a starting point, the author applied five distinct repair interventions. She documented the process, including her insights and analyses, in a dedicated research journal.
Each method varied in technique and difficulty, representing different philosophies of restoration—from simple cleaning and surface smoothing as a form of amateur care to an intricate fix inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, which embraces imperfection. "(re)Gained Furniture" invites us to approach objects with mindfulness and empathy, rediscovering their value through the act of repair.
Graduation 11
Publishing the catalog is always a special moment for us. It is not only a symbolic farewell to the graduating class but, above all, a record of the meeting of the "head"—acquired knowledge—with the "heart"—emotions and meaning. In this year's publication, we have collected 80 diploma projects that serve as the best showcase of our graduates.
