Invasive Mirror Frame

Inspired by the study of invasive plants, this mirror frame captures their essence and resilience. Though these plants may appear delicate, they possess incredible strength, which is mirrored in the use of durable aluminum. The frame's design echoes their relentless drive to claim territory, embodying fearlessness and confidence. This piece transforms the formal language of invasive plants into a striking object, reflecting the powerful yet graceful presence they reveal during research walks.

The object was designed by Barbora Hagarová, a student of Industrial Design.

The project is part of the exhibition "Synanthropic plants. What Weeds teach us?" which was presented at this year's Gdynia Design Days 2024 festival.
