Guiding Thought

In play, the child feels independent to some degree. Everything else is a fleeting favor, a temporary concession—play, however, is a child’s right.

Student Project

Gardener Set (Zestaw ogrodnika)

Target age group: children aged 0–4.

The project aims to support children’s development through play and creativity. The program is tailored to their needs and promotes motor, social, and emotional growth by providing a safe and stimulating environment. Activities are age-appropriate, helping children explore the world around them and build self-confidence.

The toy supports the development of the following skills:

  • Fine motor skills – through grasping and manipulating toys, which strengthens manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Cognitive skills – by encouraging interactive learning about plants and nature.
  • Imagination and creativity – by inspiring children to invent their own stories and scenarios.
  • Spatial and organizational skills – by arranging and hanging toys.
  • Emotional development – by giving children opportunities to care for their “plants” and plush toys, helping to build empathy and a sense of responsibility.

Project Authors

The accessories were designed by Mirella Glinka and Marcelina Tkaczyk, students of Product Design.

They were created as part of a collaboration between School of Form and Good Wood brand.
