Blister Pack for Kartacze (Blister na kartacze)

The challenge was to break away from the conventional perception of porcelain tableware as merely a serving dish for kartacze, a type of potato dumplings popular in northeastern Poland. The goal was not to design familiar objects like bowls, ramekins, or plates but rather to push the boundaries of creativity. Inspired by the rounded shape of kartacze, I came up with the idea of a blister pack.

Throughout the process, I grappled with a series of questions: How to ensure functionality while maintaining literalness and satire? Will the result be kitschy or tacky? How to create a blister pack out of porcelain? Should I combine it with other materials?

Ultimately, I reached a compromise—a fusion of plexiglass and porcelain.
