Student Project
A Montessori-Inspired Toolkit for Imaginative Play
Target age group: children aged 3–8.
Children in this age range are developing both fine and gross motor skills and beginning to engage in imaginative role-play. This is also the stage when they start transitioning from parallel play to more collaborative, creative play with peers.
The toy supports development of the following skills:
- Fine motor skills: Children refine precision by connecting fabric joints, fastening buttons, and placing items in pockets.
- Gross motor skills: Building large structures like forts involves climbing, stretching, and moving around.
- Imagination and creativity: The modular design allows children to create endless scenarios—from forts and caves to puppet theaters.
- Problem-solving: Figuring out how to connect pieces, balance structures, and bring their ideas to life fosters critical thinking.
