Profile

She is a photographer. She cofounded the Sputnik Photos collective. Agnieszka studied art history at the Jagiellonian University and Universite Paris IV in France. She obtained a doctorate from the University of the Arts in Poznań. Agnieszka won the Picture of the Year award twice. She was also shortlisted twice for the Hasselblad Masters Award, and received numerous prizes in national competitions, such as Grand Press Photo, BZWBK Press Photo, and Newsreportaż.

Agnieszka Rayss teaches photography workshops at SWPS University’s School of Form, at the University of Warsaw’s Institute of Polish Culture, and the Centre National Audiovisuel in Luxemburg. In the past, she taught at several photography schools, was a curator of the ShowOff section of the Krakow Photomonth Festival, and sat on the jury of numerous photography competitions.
