The period of ten years, when Lidewij was the head of the Design Academy in Eindhoven, is regarded as the time of rapid development in the 60-year-long history of the Academy. For many years Lidewij Edelkoort has been successfully running her own company in Paris, Trend Union, which specialises in forecasting trends and performing strategic analyses. Since the early 80s, her innovative ideas set trends in many industries - starting with the world of fashion, through the cosmetics industry, interior furnishing, hi-tech equipment and the car industry. Li is a curator of design exhibitions all over the world, as well as the founder of Design House in Eindhoven. She was invested with the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres - the most prestigious French state decoration - for her contributions to the French and international culture. She was awarded honorary doctorates from prestigious universities all over the world. She takes part in international projects popularising local crafts, as well as ecological and humanitarian design.

Co-owner and board member of Vox Capital Group companies in the construction, furnishing and interior arrangement business. Co-founder of the School of Humanities and Journalism, the Da Vinci Primary School and Academic Middle School and investor of the SWPS University. Creator of the Vox-Artis Foundation for Promotion of Contemporary Art. Most of the paintings and sculptures owned by the Foundation are in deposit of the National Museum in Poznań and the School of Humanities and Journalism, which makes them available for the general public. Currently, Piotr Voelkel is concentrating on "pro publico bono" projects. He is a supporter of the construction of the Wielkopolska Design Centre. In 2014 he was invested with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his exceptional contributions to the development and promotion of Polish business, as well as his achievements in social activities.
