Object in a public space
Designer and curator of design exhibitions, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Lyon and Paris. He worked for the International Program of Design and Visual Arts in Public Space in Paris. In 2010, together with a group of international designers, he worked on projects in selected public spaces of Tallinn to make them more friendly for residents. He made public space projects in Brussels, Grimbergen and Shanghai (EXPO 2010).
Winner of numerous design competitions including LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton for Young Creators (2005/2006), Parckdesign (2008), Prodeco (2006) - The young designer, Prodeco (2008), Machina Design Award (2009) and honorary award in the competition ‘The new subjectivity in design’, organized by the Zachęta National Gallery in Warsaw and the British Council.
His work has been presented in Copenhagen, Paris, New York, Seoul and during Design Week in Tokyo. Curator of ‘Un-Polished. Young design from Poland.’ Grobelny designs furniture, interiors, public spaces, as well as organizes design exhibitions.
